Court Advocate

Job Summary: Responsible for providing legal advocacy services to victims of domestic violence.

 

General Job Duties:   

  • Complete intakes for clients seeking legal advocacy services
  • Provide quality services to victims of domestic violence, including but not limited to, civil / criminal advocacy, individual / group IDVA, safety planning
  • Provide emotional support and education to victims seeking an OP
  • Assist clients in completing the EOP and POP paperwork and filing process
  • Provide in-person and telephone counseling, advocacy, information, and referrals
  • Provide educational materials (re:  purple packets) to domestic violence victims
  • Facilitate Pre-Hearing group sessions for clients
  • Accompany clients to court proceedings
  • Coordinate with Victim/Witness Office to provide information to clients regarding dispositions and future hearing dates
  • Network with other agencies to provide assistance for domestic violence victims
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information
  • Complete service logs and all necessary paperwork to document hours of service, training, etc. and submit to designated staff on a weekly basis (minimum)
  • Complete monthly narratives and administer measurable outcome tools for grants
  • Facilitate applicable sessions of the 40-hour training classes
  • Participate in Program and Outreach team meetings
  • Attend Task Force and DV multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Participate in the Appreciative Inquiry process and adhere to the Gossip Free zone
  • Participate in DV Awareness Month and Week Without Violence activities

Residential Advocate - CDV

Job Summary: 

Responsible for providing quality services to residential families and hotline callers

 

General Job Duties:

  • Provide quality services to NH residents and hotline callers, including but not limited to, crisis counseling, safety planning, emotional support, IDVA advocacy
  • Complete intakes for clients seeking CDV services (as needed)
  • Assist in determining NH eligibility and length of stay in conjunction with CDV team
  • Provide an age-appropriate shelter orientation for NH adult and child residents, including but not limited to, security/safety procedures and normalization of family services
  • Assist in completing assessments and creating/updating service plans (as needed)
  • Assist in ensuring the documented progression of services needed and received
  • Complete RA shift duty list (including shelter checks)
  • Assist in providing a safe, nurturing NH environment, assist with communal living issues

Financial Coach/Housing Counselor

Job Summary:

Provide instruction and guidance on topics related to finances to help customers gain the knowledge, capacity and tools to make sound financial decisions and access financial products that are right for them and help them understand credit, build savings, and reduce debt. Work with customers to facilitate the process toward attainment of established goals.

 

The financial coach will also provide aspiring homebuyers with the skills, knowledge and information to buy and maintain a home and comprehensive individual counseling regarding the purchase of a home or to prevent foreclosure of a current home by assisting clients in overcoming obstacles with current financial situations, credit scores, and financial budgeting. The coach will develop corrective action plans, working with and analyzing customers’ overall financial status to identify options for each customer and work with the lending institutions regarding loan products for purchasing a home or modifications of current loans to prevent foreclosure.

 

Job Responsibilities:

    General Coaching/Counseling:

  • Build relationships with customers to set goals and provide ongoing support to achieve goals
  • Work with customers to create and follow a budget and track expenditures
  • Educate customers about consumer credit issues and assist in the development of a plan to resolve the issues

    File Maintenance & Reporting:

  • Create and maintain hard copy and electronic files for each customer, including all necessary and required forms and documentation, monitor client progress, and assist in reporting to funders;
  • Complete accurate and timely appropriate statistical reports to include information regarding counseling services and outcomes data
  • Coordinate with all necessary community resources (realtors, lenders, appraisers, title company representatives, program administrators, county and city representatives, etc.) to ensure that documentation is accurate, complete, timely, and satisfies all requirements and parameters of programs/services offered.
  • Report progress on an agreed-upon production plan
  • Assists in the preparation of grant applications and reporting

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing employment and financial/life skills coaching to customers.

Organizational Compliance and Data Coordinator

Job Summary:  This position is responsible for the oversight of the agency’s office communication and technology systems. Responsible for carrying out or arranging for the maintenance tasks and installations related to the agency’s computer system, purchasing of system components and software, coordination with systems consultants as required. In conjunction with directors of each service area, this position is responsible for ensuring consistent and accurate data entry into multiple (5+) systems; complete statistical data collection, analysis, and reporting to meet funder requirements; assist with agency document creation and organizational compliance; manage agency databases and online accounts, and internal user access.

 

Duties Performed:

Data Collection, Reporting, and Analysis

  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information
  • Develop new tracking systems and/or methods with program directors as needed.
  • Work with staff to complete grant applications and provide applicable data as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data for programs and agency projects, including annual Community Needs Assessment.
  • Extract data from data systems for preparation of grant applications and reports to assist other directors or complete agency applications and reports
  • Maintain documentation of data collection and reporting processes in a Standard Operating Procedure format.
  • Complete program grant reports as needed to maintain grant compliance.
  • Maintain the Grants Matrix and agency reports due.
  • Work with directors to assess reporting needs, then coordinate and complete necessary reports as needed.
  • Maintain the agency Scoreboard and make repairs as needed, build new Scoreboard for agency each fiscal year.
  • Review processes and make recommendations for improvements related to data accuracy, process efficiency, reporting consistency, etc. as needed.

Communication and Technology Systems Management

  • Ensure that staff who require computer work stations have the necessary hardware and software, including access to the network as applicable. Includes maintaining a schedule of replacement of computers and printers.
  • Maintain records of user access (internal and external databases), and manage activations and deactivations as needed.
  • Update procedures and protocol for computer use in the agency with executive approval.
  • Work with staff to ensure the system capability is adequate for the requirements of their duties and/or funding agencies.
  • Work with IT services provider to:
  • Assist identified department staff with computer issues and coordinate troubleshooting and upgrades as necessary.
  • Monitor network use and file storage to maximize disk storage capacity.
  • Review service requests provided by Integrity on a quarterly basis, review and schedule necessary maintenance and upgrades.
  • Coordinate upgrades of hardware and software with staff as required.
  • Research vendors and obtain quotations when equipment purchases are required and as appropriate.
  • Maintain the computer and small equipment inventory, including reporting purchases and disposals to the fiscal team.

Part-Time Income Support Coach - Livingston County

Job Summary:  Assists program staff with CSBG and other Community Service programs including outreach referral and advocacy services for individuals and families in Livingston County.  This position will serve as the appointed Direct Linkage contact for referrals from Livingston County Career Link (referrals from the WIOA One-Stop Shop) to connect customers with Mid Central Community Actions programs and employment supportive services.
