- Refused to socialize with you

- Took away your car keys or money
- Dampened your enthusiasm

- Not allow you to make any decisions
- Intimidated or belittled you
- Showed sarcasm towards you

- Refused to talk or listen to you

- Intercepted your mail or phone calls
- Made you upset or nervous about being a few minutes late
- Criticized you for the way you raise your children
- Regularly threatened to leave or told you to leave
- Threatened to hurt you or your family
- Punished or deprived the children when he/she was angry with you
- Threatened to kidnap children if you left him/her
- Harassed you about affairs he/she imagined you are having
- Manipulated you with lies and contradictions
- Demeaned or put you down by saying you couldn’t manage without masculine help
- Kept your from working, controlled your money, or made all decisions about finances
- Withheld approval, appreciation, or affection as punishment
- Continually criticized you, called you names or shouted at you
- Insulted or drove away your family and friends
- Forced sex when you were sick or it was dangerous to your health
- Controlled you with his/her jealousy or possessiveness
- Publicly showed interest in other women/men
- Told anti-women jokes or made demeaning remarks about women
- Been jealously angry; assuming you would have sex with any available person
- Insisted that you dress in a more sexual way than you wanted
- Called you sexist names like “whore” or “frigid”
