Credit Building Workshops

Our Credit Building Workshops help people improve their financial standing and offer suggestions on how to credit building for students and young adultshealthy financial practices.

The workshops are taught by a Certified Housing Counselor and are available to all community members.

 

During a credit building workshop you will learn:

  • What is included in a credit report

  • The importance of improving and maintain a credit score

  • How a credit score may impact future financial options

  • Positive budgeting methods

  • Evaluation of current options and areas for improvement

one-on-one financial counseling sessionsFree One-on-One Counseling and Education

For individuals and families that have attended any of our  credit building workshops  and still have questions, we offer free individual counseling and education as needed. These counseling appointments will focus on the goals of the individual and will include a review of a current credit report.

 

During counseling appointments you will work on:

  • How to improve your credit score based on current income and expenses

  • Develop a plan to improve your financial position

  • Receive referrals to additional community resources
