Mayors Manor Today
What is Mayors Manor?
Mayors Manor is a 26-unit apartment complex for formerly homeless disabled individuals. Mayors Manor is unique in the services that it provides to the homeless population of McLean County in that it literally ends homelessness for the individuals who live there. Mayors Manor provides permanent, supportive housing to the residents. Onsite staff provide case management, as well as a community room, laundry facilities, ample yard space, and a security system. Many of the apartments are ADA accessible, and one half of the building offers an elevator. Many of the residents at Mayors Manor have never had their own home prior to moving in. The staff help these individuals thrive through teaching independent living skills and by offering group and community engagement activities. The residents at Mayors Manor often describe themselves as a family.
We at Mayors Manor know that homelessness can happen for a multitude of reasons. Whether you have experienced mental illness, physical disability, drug or alcohol addiction, domestic violence, loss of income, loss of home due to a natural disaster or discrimination, a lack of support after incarceration or rehabilitation, or any other adversity, you are welcome here. We can’t wait to meet you!
